Senior Technical Specialist

Position Authority

Vacancy issued under CypSec Group European cybersecurity operations. This role requires demonstrated excellence in secure systems engineering beyond conventional commercial standards. Only candidates with exceptional technical achievements and proven capability in critical infrastructure protection will be considered for advancement through our selection process.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Architect backend systems supporting European critical infrastructure protection frameworks
• Implement cryptographic controls meeting EU sovereignty requirements and classified handling procedures
• Develop microservices architectures subject to cross-domain security validation
• Ensure operational compliance with NIS2 Directive, GDPR Article 32, and emerging EU cybersecurity regulations
• Maintain technical documentation suitable for supervisory authority review and audit proceedings

Mandatory Technical Excellence

• Expert-level Java with Spring Framework in security-constrained environments
• BouncyCastle implementation under hardware security module constraints
• SQL Database clustering for sovereign data localization requirements
• Kubernetes orchestration hardened per CIS Benchmarks and ENISA guidelines
• RESTful service development with mandatory security controls and threat modeling

Exceptional Candidate Requirements

Beyond baseline qualifications, successful candidates will demonstrate at least one of the following:

• Peer-reviewed publications in systems security, cryptography, or distributed systems
• Significant contributions to open-source security projects with recognized impact
• Documented vulnerability research with CVE assignments or coordinated disclosure
• Participation in EU-funded research initiatives (Horizon Europe, Digital Europe Programme)
• Competition rankings in recognized cybersecurity challenges or capture-the-flag events

Linguistic Proficiency Standards

• CEFR C1+ English capability for technical documentation and stakeholder communication
• CEFR C1+ working proficiency in German, Russian, Chinese, or Spanish
• Ability to produce specifications meeting government and regulatory review standards

Security Assessment Protocol

• Comprehensive background verification including employment history validation
• Enhanced screening procedures for access to sensitive technical information
• EU citizenship or permanent residency required for sensitive infrastructure access
• Willingness to undergo facility clearance processing where operational requirements dictate
